I mocked-up some ideas I had around the car "card" on the new official series page. I'm not a huge fan of the rotating car-ousel - I often customize my paint from this screen, and only want to see the car I'm racing with & the current scheme I'm using. The tiny dots you need to click to navigate between the cars are too small & difficult to navigate to find the particular car I'm using/want to look at. The automatic rotation might only make sense if you don't currently own any of the cars.
The default view isn't that different - just moving the name & class into the card, and separating out the info & paint buttons instead of putting them behind the kabob/more options menu. I think clicking on the car itself here should do something, like bring up the paint UI, car info, or car selection - I would imagine the former scenario might be the most preferred/obvious.
Once you click on the car's row, the list would animate up & show more information about all the cars competing, highlighting the currently selected one. Clicking the down arrow would return you to the car image view. I think an important thing to show here is the car class - I'm not sure this information is available anywhere else, and it'd be nice to know which cars are in which classes (basically what you're competing against). If only one car class is being raced in this series, I think this information can be omitted in both views.
Whichever car is selected could be used in the session launch, instead of having to select your car each time.
The mini car icons would also be nice to have in the rows, but I thought the car class was more important here, especially since the randomly-generated/non-user-selected paints for the non-licensed cars don't really convey much information.
